The Met Office rainfall map for July shows that much of Scotland received around average rainfall. For example, the gauge in Armadale, West Lothian recorded 98.3mm in July.
Our website upgrade has been live for a few weeks and I hope you have found the improvements useful. I now hope we can start to increase the number of people observing rainfall and using the website to develop a good coverage of rainfall patterns across Scotland. As well as being of interest to SEPA and the Met Office, I have no doubt the observations will be of interest and value to a number of disciplines, not least farming, gardening, forestry and other types of land management.
Thank you for you continued observations and interest.
